This game had an electric start, ironically in favour of the team not named after electricity. But in the end, the Chargers Chargered all over the place and found a way to hand the division to the Broncos with a loss that wasn’t as close as the final score would make you think. When Cameron Dicker is struggling, you know it’s gonna be a tough day. On the other side, the Texans are legit. Say what you want about CJ Stroud, the man may not have reached the heights expected of him after his tremendous rookie season, but he does his job and helps his team win games. Despite his turnovers, he managed to give his defense an early lead that Houston never gave up. Herbert put up another valiant effort but even his most impressive moments were ruined by some costly drops. My personal favourite was Herbert escaping two Texans pass rushers before delivering a perfect pass to his receiver, only for them to drop the ball. That play was a miscrocosm of this game, but they got hit in the balls first.
