The Blazers are surprisingly entertaining to watch. Are they an amazing team? No, but they have pieces. Specifically, Deni Avdija and Shaedon Sharpe. Both put up 30 tonight, but I love how differently they both play. Avdija is just as much of a facilitator as he is a scorer. While Sharpe is a bit of a throwback, a vicious slasher and a tenacious defender. Fortunately for Portland, both guys can shoot and they both had an efficient outing. Shoutout to old man Jrue Holliday for getting double digit assists while playing mostly point guard, throwing it back to his Sixers days. A surprisingly close game, but man, the Pelicans are rough. Queen looks really nice (we’ll ignore what New Orleans gave up for him) and Trey Murphy continues to blossom despite the circumstances. But it’s a tough watch outside of those 2. I can’t believe someone looked at what Troy Weaver did to Detroit and said “That guy will help us make the most of Zion”
