“First thing’s first: took a few kids from my church’s youth group to the game as a fun activity for them. Vibes were 10/10 with that and the 40+ that did tarps off from the 7th to the 9th inning. They also honored a WWII veteran who turned 101 today, which made me cry. It was beautiful. As for the game itself, it was mixed. Kieder Montero was throwing meatballs, giving up four runs. Our bats were ice cold aside from a Colt Kieth triple and a Kevin McGonigle single. Our defense was solid, with Riley Greene making an incredible diving catch. The thing that REALLY killed the Tigers tho was the horrific umping, including some atrocious strike calls and a run scored by Josh Naylor that was CLEARLY an out. The game was frustrating but still a blast. Always a pleasure to go see a ball game and an even greater pleasure to do it with my youth group kids!”
