“Sergei Bobrovsky with the rare (in this season) great performance. He continues to slowly climb that all-time wins list. He is now only 2 wins behind 7th all-time, Curtis Joseph and 7 wins away from 6th all-time, Henrik Lundqvist. Speaking of rarities, Matthew Tkachuk. Chuky played in just his 16th game of the season. While he has remained just as productive as normal, he hadn’t scored a hat trick since January of 2024. He scored 1 tonight and Florida needed both Bob and Chucky to be at their best considering how much Detroit controlled play. It wasn’t for the entire game. The first period and half of the 2nd was pretty even, maybe tilting slightly in Detroit’s favour. After that, the rest of the 2nd was ALL Red Wings. Bob had to stand on his head to keep the game tied. Chucky repaid Bob’s efforts by scoring almost immediately in the 3rd period and Florida hung onto that lead until the end. Sad to see Larkin get hurt again and there wasn’t a ton of action in this one. Still alright.”
