“This game will now be my prime example any time I see anyone say “They scored 175+ points combined, it must’ve been an awesome game”. I’d rather watch a low scoring slugfest than this bore. This game sucked, no way around it. This game was close for like 5 minutes. I use that amount of time very deliberately. After the first 5 minutes, Iowa State was winning 12-7. 5 minutes later, Iowa State was winning 30-7. That’s right, Iowa State went on a 18-0 win in the span of 5 minutes. I really wish they had just ended the game after that, but sadly, there is no mercy rule in March Madness and we had to watch Cyclones beat down the Tigers so badly they could’ve been arrested for animal cruelty. The entire 2nd half was basically garbage time and it made me question if watching this entire game was worth watching. Toure and Heise had great games. Each of them put up 20 points on marvelous efficiency. At least there’s that, but I’m grasping at straws for positives.”
