I was originally going to rate this a mid-7, but in honour of a student hitting a half court, I’ll bump it up to an 8. Besides a sick moment in-between the action, the Bruins earn another win thanks to a few key factors. 1. Their fast break offense. Through both rebounds and steals, UCLA was getting down the court fast and the Huskies couldn’t defend it. Weirdly fitting for a Husky. Speaking of steals, the Bruins also did a great job forcing errors and capitalized on them scoring 20 points off turnovers. Finally, the 3-point shooting. Bilodeau really got it rolling in the 2nd half and although they didn’t shoot many 3s, they made them count, unlike their opponent. With all that being said, this game was close for a reason. The Huskies dominated the paint, scoring over half their points inside and shooting nearly 60% on 2-point shots in the process. Although, the last minute of this game was… interesting. 10 free throws in a minute for UCLA was not fun to watch. Still a good game.
