@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Lightning vs Sabres

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Lightning vs Sabres game 9.9 out of 10 in NHL on March 8, 2026. Final score: Lightning 7 – Sabres 8. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

THIS is the NHL. Crazy skill, bad blood and heart-stopping action. This is also a game where Tampa Bay surely missed Andrei Vasilevsky. For everyone else, we’re very happy because it gave us an all-time classic, at least when it comes to regular season games. Shockingly, the 1st period was a little quiet and ‘normal’ by NHL standards. Buffalo outshot the Lightning, but Tampa has always prioritized quality of chances instead of quantity. It was the 2nd period when this game went gang-busters. 7 goals in both the 2nd and 3rd, bad blood and crazy shit happening constantly. The only ones not having a good time was the goalies stuck between the pipes amongst all these goals. Who were the heroes? Of course, JJ Moser continues to be incredible, this time his offensive game was the star instead of his defense while Kucherov did Kucherov things. Still, they could not overcome the might of Shane Doan’s son, Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin, no matter how much Brandon Hagel wanted to beat him up.
