“Fun and intense game. I knew Stars would lose this after that loser 3 minute PP - how we managed to get outclassed by the 2026 Avs in the power play department, I have no idea. The first and much of the second period felt like what we're used to from this matchup: two top-tier teams in a tense battle. Stars fell off, though. They burnt out early and stopped acting like they wanted the win. Hopefully they can take the lesson into the next two (and almost certainly more) games against Colorado this year. Rantanen's absence is definitely felt when the Stars face real contender teams.”
