This game was… weird… in a good way. The first Habs goal was scored off a fluke bounce that looped in. Jacob Markstrom didn’t have a save until 16 minutes into the 1st period and yet it was 1-1 after the 1st. We also had Cody Glass determined to prove that the Habs should’ve traded for him instead of Nick Suzuki as he scored very early off a Habs turnover. The Habs honestly looked sloppy in general to start. But they locked in after the 1st and even though the Devils eventually broke them down, the Habs stayed in it and they were rewarded with a goal to tie it in the 3rd. After that, felt like the Habs breathed, only to score again, take the lead and the Devils had it. That was weird in a very good way, saving the chaos for the start and end of the 3 periods is a great way to be remembered. The overtime was alright, the speed on both sides makes 3-on-3 intense, but all it took was one giveaway to end it as Bratt completes the last minute comeback worth it for New Jersey.
