“Best game I’ve ever been to. Never been to an extra inning game before and this was awesome. Offense was absolutely dead for 8 innings. Hell the stadium, half empty and half of the fans there being Sox fans, was dead. But in the 9th inning it revived. Was the comeback pretty? No. Did we need a lucky error from Lindor and control problems from the worst closer in the league? Yes. Did we get a hit to score in the 10th? No. But I got to see Payton Tolle and Brayan Bello, my 2 favorite pitchers in the world pitch great, and a nice Sox extra inning comeback. The Red Sox are now 18-0 in the 9 games leading up to the All-Star break the past 2 seasons. That has to be a record. And of course, the chants of Yankees Suck leaving the stadium from both Mets and Red Sox fans was awesome. The one thing we can agree on.”
