“The rating is boosted by the "close" game, but really, this game was the Yankees scoring on an attempted steal. This also means that the Yankees won with zero RBIs. The last time a team did this was 2025 August 20 in a game between CHW-ATL, where the Braves won 0-1 on a fielding error from Nick Allen in the Bottom of the 5th. The last time the Yankees did this was 2025 June 12 when Paul Goldschmidt hit a ball at Vinnie Pasquantino, who couldn't make the jumping catch. Goldschmidt made it 1st while Pablo Reyes was running to home from 2nd. The throw from the Royal Pitcher, Lucas Erceg, was in time, but Salvy could not control it, and the Yankees scored. The last time the Yankees won with 0 RBIs and a batter didn't even hit the ball was 2011 July 10 at home against the Rays. The Rays attempted a pick off on Robinson Cano on 3rd, and it went wide, and he scored, bringing home the only run that game. Just wild.”
