THIS ONE STARTED WITH A BANG and ended with a whimper. Shaheed returning the opening kickoff with the thunderous 12th man roaring all the way was the best way this game could’ve started unless you’re rooting for the 49ers. That bang also set the tone. The 12th man was rocking like it’s 2013. The Seahawks rushed out to a 17-0 lead before the 1st quarter ended and the 49ers could never make this one close. This was the definition of a sexy blowout. San Francisco never had a chance, but we got a bunch of huge defensive plays to keep me glued to the screen. Ernest Jones with the forced fumble AND an interception. Demarcus Lawrence with 2 forced fumbles. Leonard Williams with a sack on 4th down during the 49ers’ first drive of the 2nd half. Call it a clinic, domination, out-coaching, whatever you want to call it, the Seahawks annihilated the 49ers, secure Sam Darnold’s first career playoff win and a spot in the NFC championship for the first time since 2014. Kenneth Walker was cooking.
