Man, what a game that was. The Dodgers just keep finding ways to dominate, and this one in Milwaukee felt like a statement. The Brewers crowd was loud early after Jackson Chourio launched a leadoff homer, but Yoshinobu Yamamoto completely shut that place up almost immediately. After that first batter, he was untouchable — mowing through hitters, painting corners, and making everyone look off-balance. It honestly felt like Milwaukee didn’t have a chance after the third inning. Yamamoto went the distance too, a complete game in the playoffs, which you just don’t see anymore. Every inning he just got stronger. (2nd part in comments stupid copy and paste)

Freddy Peralta held it together for a while for the Brewers, but the Dodgers’ lineup eventually cracked him. Teoscar Hernández tied it up with a no-doubt home run, and then Max Muncy — of course it was Muncy — hit a rocket in the sixth that gave L.A. the lead for good. That one really broke the game open. The Dodgers just kept adding on little by little after that. Andy Pages ripped an RBI double, Ohtani lined a single to make it 4–1, and Tommy Edman tacked on one more in the eighth to put it away. By the time the ninth rolled around, you could see the Brewers were defeated. Yamamoto walked out there like he owned the mound, and fittingly finished it himself. The Dodgers’ dugout was fired up, and it’s easy to see why — they’re up 2–0 now and heading back home with all the momentum in the world.
