This game was a coronation for the Minnesota Wild. Your enjoyment is going to depend on how much you love the Wild and/or hate the Boston Bruins. For Wild lovers, can’t ask for much better besides a Gustavsson shutout. After a slow start from both teams, the Bruins looked like they would take control… for a couple minutes. The Spurgeon goal on the power-play set the tone. Quinn Hughes for his part didn’t miss a beat after the 1st period. He displayed all the wonderful traits that made him a superstar in Vancouver. The smooth skating, amazing vision, wicked shot and even his underrated defensive skills. He’s no Jacob Slavin but it’s definitely notable considering the complete package. I’m sure Canucks fans cheer depressingly for Quinn Hughes crushing the Bruins, Wild fans are partying and Bruins fans are pissed at Swayman for some reason. For me, I have a soft spot for the Wild, but it’s not soft enough to make up for a game that started slow and became anti-climactic. Kaprizov was gr8
