@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Hurricanes vs Canadiens

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Hurricanes vs Canadiens game 8.6 out of 10 in NHL on March 24, 2026. Final score: Hurricanes 2 – Canadiens 5. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This matchup between two fast red teams had the makings of an epic game. We eventually got that; it just took a while. Instead of a clash, this started off as a one-sides drubbing thanks to a bad start for the Habs. Canes dominated the first period, outshooting the Habs 10-2 and scored twice by the time 12 minutes had passed. Although the Canes never relented, Kapanen was able to sneak a deflected shot past Andersen to cut their deficit in half and keep their hopes alive. Even though the Habs kept it close, they were still in a bind. The Canes had all the control, someone had to step up. Luckily the Habs have this short guy named Goal Caufield. He stepped up massively and provided support. This wasn’t a mere carry job, Montreal outplayed the Hurricanes in the 2nd and most of the 3rd. Getting the better chances consistently, although I wouldn’t say Carolina was dominated. Demidov put the finishing touches with a breakaway goal and Dobes shut the door on Carolina’s final push to tie it.
