“Closer than the final score tells you. More importantly, I think these teams are sick of each other. As if the pushing and shoving after the final whistle didn’t tell you that, the chirps during intermission should give that away. With that being said… Minnesota, with all due respect, you shouldn’t have had a chance in this game. You got BODIED for 80% of this game and only gained any kind of ground in the latter half of the 2nd and first half of the 3rd. The shots were 20-4 in favour of Colorado at one point. Wallstedt did everything he could to keep Minnesota in this one, it just wasn’t enough. If you needed more proof of my thesis statement, just watch the 3rd. It was there some dynamite hockey, but I can’t help but imagine both teams thinking some variation of ‘I would like them to stop’. For Colorado, they just want Minnesota to die and stop surviving like Bears post-hibernation. Meanwhile, the Wild just want Colorado to show any weakness and stop toppling them. The end is near. ”
