Not Pivetta's best start, but certainly could've been avoided if Bobby Dalbec had fielded that grounder at first. Dalbec on the Sox was your prime AAAA player-in Triple A he would absolutely mash, no one could get him out, but in the majors, aside from one year, he was not a very good hitter. Despite that I always loved Bobby D. 9 homers so far over in Japan, wishing him luck over there. In the third again, fielding errors were crucial, a common theme amongst the Sox in recent memory. Forgot David Dahl was still in the league in 2024, but he absolutely torched us in the early part of this game. Almost seeing a Castellanos inside the park homer was wild 😭 And then a Raffy triple too. Wtf was this game? In the 5th inning, the Sox put up a 5 run rally to make a comeback on Philadelphia. 2026 Red Sox, take notes. The fielding overall in this game was just atrocious, sometimes though those games are the most fun and chaotic to watch. Shoutout D-Ham! Red Sox on RateGame Tracker: 2-1

A ton of swinging and running the bases in this one. Not often you get a near-inside-the-parker in the top of an inning and a retaliation triple in the bottom. Some lucky breaks from hard-hit balls and speed brought the Red Sox back, but the Phillies avoid complete humiliation by limiting the damage with the bases drunk.
