In a way, the Blue Jays feel like, at least narrative-wise, they were the Mariners before the Mariners. A plucky underdog with a Latino superstar that just couldn’t get it done after September. They deserve this - and both of these teams will continue to make deep runs, or at least it seems that way. Take a bow, George Springer. And kudos to J-Rod and Raleigh, you boys did all you could do 🇩🇴🇺🇸
