“The NHL regular season officially concludes with this lukewarm game. Both the Avs and Kraken had their spots in their respective races locked up so this game was purely for pride. The Avs had plenty of pride (and momentum to carry into the playoffs). On the other hand, while the Kraken lacked pride in their game, they made up with some feistiness which saved this game from being a bore. This game remaining close on the scoreboard most of the way through also helped. Despite Colorado outshooting the Kraken by double digits, at least there was the feeling that a goal could change the complexion. That goal never came and the Avs cruised to victory. Valeri Nichuskin showed off his true talent with a good performance here today. Wedgewood looked solid between the pipes and Makar did Makar things. The Avs are so talented that 75% of their max effort is still entertaining to watch. I feel bad for Ostman. 2nd career game and 1st of the season against the best team is tough but he looked good. ”
