@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Wildcats vs Boilermakers

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Wildcats vs Boilermakers game 4.9 out of 10 in CBB on March 12, 2026. Final score: Wildcats 68 – Boilermakers 81. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This game was close for about 10 minutes, but the Boilermakers pulled away very rapidly after that and I’d say they officially launched themselves into the stratosphere (in a good way). Braden Smith used all 183cm of his height to save the ball from going out of bounds and batted it to his teammate for the easy lay up to extend Purdue’s lead above 20. At that point, they could’ve ended the game. Northwestern never made it close and Purdue cruised to an easy victory. Smith did a lot more than just save the ball from going out of bounds once. His chase of Bobby Hurley’s all-time assist record is approaching the end and he did himself a massive favour by putting up 16 assists, officially putting him 2nd all-time. Safe to say Kaufman-Renn, Cluff and Loyer appreciated those assists. Each of them put up double figures with good to elite shooting splits. Martinelli played his ass off and got a deserved ovation for his efforts, but 1 man cannot win these games alone… most of the time.
