@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Longhorns vs Boilermakers

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Longhorns vs Boilermakers game 8.9 out of 10 in CBB on March 26, 2026. Final score: Longhorns 77 – Boilermakers 79. S16. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The Sweet 16 began here with a game that was super close 15+ lead changes and a razor thin margin of error, but it was also kinda ugly and slow down the stretch. Yet, it ended with the biggest shot in the arm. Purdue really struggled from 3, going 3/12, in the first half alone and they still had a 4 point lead at halftime. They kept jacking them up in the 2nd half because they knew they had guys under the basket to rebound. Texas wouldn’t go down a fight. Especially when Tramon Mark was performing the way he was. Not even an ankle injury could stop the man. He put up the best game of any Texas player in the NCAA tournament since Kevin Durant put up 30 in 2007. The Longhorns didn’t know the meaning of the word quit. There were LOTS of free throws down the stretch, most of them for Purdue. In the dying seconds, an and-one and free throw tied it up right when Texas looked dead. Sadly, it didn’t matter. Braden Smith drove in, missed the layup and TKR tipped it in for the game winner.
