@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Canadiens vs Lightning

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Canadiens vs Lightning game 8.7 out of 10 in NHL on April 29, 2026. Final score: Canadiens 3 – Lightning 2. R1. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

Habs-Lightning continues to be elite. Can’t put this above the overtime games, but I can put it in the same class of elite because it had all the hallmarks of a great playoff game. Fast, close and full of bitter feelings. This one was somehow the most nail biting game of the series. Mainly because the last 15 minutes were the Lightning doing EVERYTHING in their power to tie the game up while Montreal held on for dear life. This was a much scrappier game for Montreal as they won this game with clutch defensive plays and gritty effort rather than the skill they clearly possess. Can’t forget Dobes either. The young goalie out-duelled the Vezina-favourite. Not just with saves, but also with great diligence to freeze the puck whenever he could and prevent a scramble in his crease. Even when there was one, Habs’ defensemen got rid of it ASAP. Each goal in this game was sensational, but my personal favourite was Kirby Dach’s. Just a gutsy solo effort to respond immediately after a Tampa goal.
