“Shota Imanaga has had a very tough time this season keeping the ball in the park and that was all the more evident today. 3 home runs allowed, up to 33 on the year, tying him with Jeffrey Springs for the most out of any pitcher in baseball. MVPCA with a home run in the first, and the Cubs offense looked solid early but once Chase Burns settled in the Cubs were cooked. Burns is a great pitcher, honestly should be in Cy Young conversations if Jacob Misiorowski didn't exist. Ran into some trouble in the 6th inning due to an Elly de la Cruz error and a base knock, but with 2 guys on and no outs he gets the first 2 outs before Brock Burke finishes off the inning after 100 pitches from Burns. Of course MVPCA had a 9th inning homer to keep the Cubs alive. And man is Sal Stewart good. 31 home runs and an MLB leading, not rookie leading, MLB LEADING 105 RBI. I'm genuinely dumbfounded as to how Stewart has just now become the NL Rookie of the Year favorite, he has cleared JJ Wetherholt all year”
