34 : 10
NFL • Week 1712/28/2025
People might not understand this if they weren’t there, but this was the most anticipated game of the season. There was some huge genuine stakes here. I understand looking at it now doesn’t make much sense, but at the time, this was life or death for the entire league. This was the grand battle for Fernando Mendoza or trade value, do you think Vegas would let Mendoza become trade value? Pete Carroll looked at his men in the face and said, “boys we have a job.” You can bet your ass on it that the job was completed too. There’s a 15 out of 10 rolling streets in Vegas, and I’m talking QB. If the Giants would’ve lost his game and the next one, the league would’ve been fried. Mendoza could be in Miami right now or even with the Jets but no, they tightened up those helmets and they went to work. It’s not tanking if you are genuinely terrible, and let me say, they are genuinely terrible. Good work, fellas. You saved that young man’s life. But for them, all in a day’s work.
