“Gritty, grindy, rugged, whatever adjective you want to use, it probably fits. Point is: game was not pretty and full of hustle. Although the final result was up in the air after the 1st half, one thing was clear. This was Cadeau’s legacy game. He came out smoking. The kid was doing everything. Hitting shots, making tough layups, districting the ball and he even had a chase down block. UConn refused to go away so Roddy Gayle sent a message with a put back dunk over Tarris Reed. That message read “WE ARE NOT AFRAID OF YOU”. Michigan lived up to those words in the start of the 2nd half. Cadeau fittingly hit Michigan’s first 3 as the culmination of a run that gave them the first double digit lead of the game. The defense was certainly not boring with all the emphatic blocks. They built up a lead and made UConn desperate. The Huskies were up to the task, but one sequence sealed it. 2 minutes to go, Karaban hit a deep 3 to cut the deficit to 6. After a wild sequence, McKenney hit a 3 back. ”
