Valley Children's Stadium

Valley Children's Stadium, formerly Bulldog Stadium, is the on-campus football home of the Fresno State Bulldogs in Fresno, California. It's the epicenter of the program's 'Red Wave' fan culture, with a rowdy student section and Central Valley crowds that turn out heavy for Mountain West rivalry games. The stadium's bowl design keeps fans close to the field, and its warm-weather night games have become a program trademark. Renamed in 2022 through a hospital naming-rights partnership, it remains the same building Bulldog fans have packed for over four decades.

The stadium opened in September 1980, with Fresno State beating Montana State 21-14 in its first game that November, and its arrival coincided with a rise in the program's fortunes under coach Jim Sweeney, including multiple conference titles. Expansion completed in 1991 added sky suites and thousands of seats, growing capacity from 30,000 toward its current size. In 2021, Valley Children's Healthcare agreed to a decade-long naming-rights deal, and the venue was officially renamed Valley Children's Stadium in July 2022. Through both names, it has remained the heart of 'Red Wave' game days and Fresno State's bowl-contending teams.
