Jon M. Huntsman Center

The Jon M. Huntsman Center is the home arena of the Utah Utes men's and women's basketball teams, including the Runnin' Utes, in Salt Lake City. Its circular, dome-roofed design makes it one of the most architecturally distinctive arenas in college sports, and its size makes it the largest venue in the Pac-12/Big 12 footprint. It's also the nation's premier college gymnastics venue, regularly packing the building for Utah's Red Rocks meets. On basketball and gymnastics nights alike, the Huntsman Center delivers one of the loudest home-court atmospheres in Utah sports.

Opened in 1969 as the Special Events Center and renamed in 1987 for philanthropist Jon M. Huntsman, the arena has long been one of Utah's signature athletic venues. It holds the NCAA record for gymnastics attendance, including 16,019 fans for a 2015 meet against Michigan, and has hosted nine national gymnastics championships. Utah has led the nation in gymnastics attendance in the vast majority of seasons since the building opened. Beyond gymnastics, it has hosted decades of Utah basketball, including NCAA tournament games during the program's strongest eras.
