TD Arena is the home of the College of Charleston Cougars in Charleston, South Carolina. Set in the city's historic downtown rather than a traditional campus quad, the arena hosts the school's Coastal Athletic Association men's and women's basketball teams in an intimate, modern setting that reflects Charleston's compact urban campus.
The arena opened in November 2008 as Carolina First Arena, replacing the aging John Kresse Arena as the Cougars' home. It was renamed TD Arena following a later naming-rights agreement and has since given Charleston a modern downtown venue that has hosted the Cougars through their Colonial Athletic Association (now CAA) basketball seasons, including deep conference tournament runs.
