Overview
UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse is the home of the Duquesne Dukes basketball program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was extensively renovated from the former A.J. Palumbo Center, which originally opened in 1988.
History & Legacy
The renovated fieldhouse is named to honor Duquesne great Chuck Cooper, a Hall of Famer and the first African American drafted by an NBA team. The Dukes reached the 2024 NCAA Tournament during this era, ending a decades-long drought.
