InfoCision Stadium is the on-campus football stadium of the University of Akron Zips in Akron, Ohio, competing in the Mid-American Conference. Its playing surface is Summa Field, and the roughly 30,000-seat bowl sits directly on campus in place of the team's old off-site home. Game days bring a compact, student-centered atmosphere with a south-end grass berm supplementing the traditional seating bowl.
InfoCision Stadium opened on September 12, 2009 with a sold-out win over Morgan State, giving Akron football an on-campus home and replacing the Rubber Bowl, the off-site municipal stadium the Zips had used for decades. Moving games to campus was intended to boost student attendance and program visibility within the MAC. The stadium has since hosted the bulk of Akron's home slate, including MAC divisional matchups and rivalry games.
