Overview

Sun Bowl is the home of UTEP Miners football in El Paso and hosts the annual Sun Bowl game. The stadium sits in a natural bowl with mountain views. It has been a Southwest football landmark since 1963.

History & Legacy

Opened September 21, 1963, with an inaugural capacity of 30,000. Expanded to 52,000 in 1982. The Sun Bowl game has been played there since 1963. Renovations in 2006 and 2018 modernized the facility.
