The Moody Center is the basketball arena of the Texas Longhorns in Austin, Texas, and one of the most active concert and entertainment venues in the country. It is the home court for Texas men's and women's basketball, with a modern bowl design built to double as a premier touring venue. The San Antonio Spurs have also used the arena for regular-season NBA games, making it Austin's first home for top-level professional basketball. Its downtown-adjacent location gives it an urban energy uncommon among college arenas.
The Moody Center opened in April 2022, replacing the Frank Erwin Center as the Longhorns' home after decades in the older arena. The Texas men's basketball team played its first home game there in November 2022, and the venue quickly became one of the busiest live-music arenas in the country. In April 2023 the San Antonio Spurs played the first NBA regular-season games ever held in Austin at the Moody Center. In just a few years it has established itself as a dual-purpose hub for Texas athletics and major touring acts.
