Hynes Athletics Center

The Hynes Athletics Center is the home of the Iona Gaels basketball program in New Rochelle, New York. The compact, on-campus arena anchors Iona's MAAC basketball program and gives the Gaels one of the loudest small-gym atmospheres in the conference. Its tight seating bowl puts fans right on top of the court.

Opened in 1974 as the John A. Mulcahy Campus Events Center, the venue was renamed the Hynes Athletics Center in 2005 and received a $6.5 million expansion and modernization in 2019. Iona has won a MAAC-record fourteen conference tournament titles, and Rick Pitino's tenure from 2020-2023 added two more regular-season and tournament championships to the arena's history. It remains one of the winningest home courts in MAAC history.
