John M. Belk Arena

John M. Belk Arena, part of the Baker Sports Complex, is the home of the Davidson College Wildcats basketball team in Davidson, North Carolina. It is an intimate venue seating around 5,300 fans, giving Davidson one of the more electric small-school atmospheres in the Atlantic 10 and, before that, the Southern Conference.

Opened in 1989, the arena is best known as the home of Stephen Curry during his record-setting Davidson career under coach Bob McKillop. Curry's Wildcats went undefeated through Southern Conference play and reached the 2008 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight — upsetting Gonzaga, Georgetown, and Wisconsin before falling to eventual champion Kansas — Davidson's first tournament wins since 1969 and one of the most memorable mid-major NCAA Tournament runs ever.
