Bren Events Center

The Bren Events Center is the home arena of the UC Irvine Anteaters basketball and volleyball teams in Irvine, California. It's the campus's central venue for both athletics and commencement and entertainment events, giving Anteater games a hub-of-campus feel. The arena's modern bowl design keeps fans close to the action for Big West Conference matchups. It has become one of the more respected mid-major home courts on the West Coast.

The arena opened on January 8, 1987, with a men's basketball game against Utah State. It was renamed the Donald Bren Events Center in 1988 after a $1.5 million gift from Irvine Company chairman Donald Bren. Since then it has served as the steady home base for UC Irvine's rise to Big West prominence in men's and women's basketball and volleyball. It remains one of the primary large-event venues in Orange County's Irvine area.
