History & Legacy
Folsom Field opened on October 11, 1924, as Colorado Stadium when the Buffaloes defeated Regis 39-0. It was renamed Folsom Field in 1944 to honor longtime coach Fred Folsom. The stadium has undergone multiple expansions and now holds over 50,000. The record attendance of 54,972 was set in 2005 against Colorado State. Folsom Field celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024.
