Williams Arena

Williams Arena, known as The Barn, is the historic home of Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball. The venue's raised floor and classic design make it one of college basketball's most distinctive arenas. Located in Minneapolis, it has hosted Gophers hoops since 1928.

Williams Arena opened in 1928 and is one of the oldest continuously used college basketball venues. The raised floor was installed in 1950 and has become iconic. The arena underwent major renovations in the 1990s. Williams Arena has hosted NCAA Tournament games and countless Big Ten battles.
