Jones AT&T Stadium is the on-campus home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock, Texas, and the centerpiece of Red Raider football in the Big 12 Conference. The playing surface, Cody Campbell Field, sits inside a bowl that has grown steadily over three-quarters of a century. High-def video boards and modern premium seating give it a big-time feel despite its West Texas location. Home games regularly draw crowds well above 50,000 for Big 12 showdowns.
The stadium opened in 1947, named for Texas Tech's third president Clifford B. Jones and his wife Audrey, whose donation helped fund construction; the Red Raiders beat Hardin-Simmons 14-6 in the inaugural game. It has been expanded repeatedly since, from a 1959 renovation that lowered the field and rebuilt the east stands to a 1972 expansion and a major 2010s press-box and premium-seating project. The stadium set its attendance record of 61,836 for a 2013 game against No. 12 Oklahoma State. In 2021, the field was named Cody Campbell Field after a $25 million gift from the former player, and the stadium now seats more than 60,000.
