Hancock Whitney Stadium

Hancock Whitney Stadium is the on-campus home of the South Alabama Jaguars in Mobile, Alabama, the program's first true campus football facility. It replaced years of playing home games at the city-owned Ladd-Peebles Stadium several miles away, giving the Jaguars a genuine on-campus gameday atmosphere for the first time. The stadium's compact bowl puts students and fans close to the action for Sun Belt Conference matchups. Its opening marked a major step in South Alabama football's maturation as a program.

The stadium opened on September 12, 2020, with South Alabama hosting Tulane in its debut game, a contest the Jaguars lost 27-24 after leading into the fourth quarter. That game ended more than a decade of the program playing home games off-campus at Ladd-Peebles Stadium since South Alabama's football rebirth in 2009. The venue has since become the full-time home of Jaguars football as the program has grown within the Sun Belt Conference.
