Friel Court at Beasley Coliseum

Friel Court at Beasley Coliseum is the home of Washington State Cougars basketball in Pullman, Washington, tucked into the Palouse region's rolling wheat country. The coliseum doubles as a campus events and concert venue, hosting graduation ceremonies and touring acts alongside Cougar hoops. Its size gives WSU basketball a real home-court presence even as the program competes in the tough Pac-12/reconfigured conference landscape. The venue's Pullman setting makes it one of the more remote true road trips in major-conference college basketball.

Beasley Coliseum opened in 1973, and its playing surface is named Friel Court in honor of Jack Friel, who coached WSU basketball for roughly three decades from the late 1920s through the 1950s. The naming recognizes Friel's status as the winningest and most influential figure in Washington State basketball history. Over the decades since, the building has hosted countless Pac-12 matchups as well as commencement ceremonies and concerts for the wider Palouse community.
