Kidd Brewer Stadium

Kidd Brewer Stadium, nicknamed 'The Rock,' is the home of the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team in Boone, North Carolina. Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, it is known for its scenic setting and a natural rock outcropping visible in the north end zone. The stadium has grown steadily over the decades as App State's program has climbed from FCS power to Sun Belt contender.

Opened in 1962 as Conrad Stadium and renamed for benefactor Kidd Brewer in 1988, 'The Rock' is home to a program famous for its stunning 2007 upset of fifth-ranked Michigan and three consecutive FCS national titles (2005-2007) before Appalachian State moved up to FBS. Multiple expansions since the 2000s, including added east-side and north end zone seating, have nearly doubled the stadium's capacity from its earlier era, and further growth has been planned as the program continues to invest in its home venue.
