Bender Arena

Bender Arena is the home court of the American University Eagles in Washington, D.C. The on-campus arena hosts the school's Patriot League men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and wrestling programs. Its intimate size keeps the crowd close to the action, giving Eagles home games a tight, collegiate atmosphere just blocks from campus classrooms.

The arena opened in January 1988 and has served as American University's primary athletics and events venue for close to four decades. It has hosted Patriot League regular-season and tournament competition in the nation's capital, along with commencement ceremonies and campus events, cementing its role as the hub of AU athletics.
