Independence Stadium

Independence Stadium is a large football stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana, best known as the home of the annual Independence Bowl. It seats roughly 49,000 spectators.

Opened in the mid-1920s and originally known as State Fair Stadium, the venue has hosted the Independence Bowl since 1976, making it a longtime fixture on the college football bowl calendar.
