Autzen Stadium

Autzen Stadium is the home football stadium of the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, Oregon, tucked along the Willamette River just off campus. It's widely regarded as one of the loudest venues in college football, thanks to a tight, steep bowl that traps crowd noise directly over the field. Autzen's green-and-yellow-clad crowds and Nike-backed program identity have made it one of the more distinctive stadium experiences in the sport. The massive video board looming over the east end zone adds to the modern, high-energy atmosphere on game days.

Autzen Stadium opened in 1967, replacing Hayward Field as the Ducks' football home, with an original capacity of around 41,000. A major 2002 expansion, part of a $90 million overhaul, added seating and luxury suites and pushed capacity to its current 54,000, coinciding with Oregon's rise into a national football power under Nike founder Phil Knight's backing. The stadium's compact bowl design has earned it a reputation as one of the sport's most hostile road environments. Its 2020 video board upgrade, one of the largest in college football, kept it on the leading edge of in-stadium technology.
