Williams Stadium (VA)

Williams Stadium is the home of the Liberty University Flames football team in Lynchburg, Virginia, competing in Conference USA at the FBS level. The 25,000-seat stadium sits on Liberty Mountain overlooking the Blue Ridge foothills, giving game days a scenic, elevated backdrop. Its growth alongside the Flames program has made it a modern, well-equipped home for FBS-level college football.

Williams Stadium opened on October 21, 1989 with a 37-18 win over Towson State in front of a Homecoming crowd, starting at a capacity of just 12,000. The stadium has grown through several expansion phases, including major renovations in 2010 and 2018, as Liberty climbed from FCS independence to full FBS membership. It has served as the home of the Flames throughout that rise, including their move to Conference USA.
