Scott Stadium

Scott Stadium is the home of the Virginia Cavaliers in Charlottesville. It is the oldest active FBS football stadium in the state of Virginia, tucked into a natural bowl on Grounds with the Blue Ridge Mountains visible beyond the upper deck. Game days blend ACC football with the university's traditions, including the student section's coat-and-tie 'Fourth-Year Fifth' send-off. The setting is widely regarded as one of the most scenic in the conference.

Opened in 1931 as a gift from Frederic and Elisabeth Scott, the stadium has grown through multiple expansions, most significantly a major 2000 renovation that added upper decks, suites, and modern concourses to push capacity past 60,000. It has hosted Virginia teams through the program's periods of ACC contention, including the 1990 team that reached number one in the national polls. The 'Fourth-Year Fifth' tradition and Blue Ridge backdrop give it a distinct campus character among ACC venues. Nearly a century after opening, it remains the anchor of Virginia athletics.
