Joseph J. Gentile Arena

Joseph J. Gentile Arena is the home of the Loyola Chicago Ramblers basketball teams in Chicago, Illinois. Opened in 1996, it serves Loyola University Chicago and is often called Gentile Center or Gentile Arena by fans and media. The compact, on-campus bowl became a viral phenomenon during Loyola's Cinderella runs, packed with students and national media alike. Its energy is inseparable from the program's underdog identity in Atlantic 10 and Missouri Valley play.

The arena was at the center of Loyola's celebrated run to the 2018 NCAA Final Four as an 11-seed, a Cinderella story that captivated the sport and made team chaplain Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt a national celebrity.
