The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss is the basketball home of the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi, hosting the men's and women's programs in the SEC. As the largest on-campus basketball arena in the state, it gives Ole Miss a modern, amenity-rich home with premium clubs and one of the largest center-hung video boards in college sports when it opened. The arena's tight lower bowl and Grove-adjacent campus setting make for an increasingly rowdy SEC atmosphere on marquee nights.
The $96.5 million arena opened in January 2016 with a men's basketball win over Alabama, replacing the aging Tad Smith Coliseum as the Rebels' modern home and serving as the centerpiece of the university's Forward Together campaign. It was officially renamed for Sandy and John Black in 2021 following a $10 million gift, becoming The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss. The building has helped fuel a resurgence in Ole Miss basketball, including NCAA Tournament runs for both the men's and women's programs.
