Malone Stadium

Malone Stadium is the home of the Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) Warhawks football team in Monroe, Louisiana, serving as the outdoor centerpiece of ULM's Sun Belt Conference athletics. It's a classic Group of Five venue with a track surrounding the field and a close-knit regional fan base that turns out for Warhawks Saturdays. The stadium also anchors ULM's broader campus athletics complex.

The stadium opened on September 16, 1978 with a 20,000-seat capacity, when the then-Northeast Louisiana Indians beat Arkansas State 21-13 in the inaugural game. Named for longtime coach James L. Malone, it was expanded in the early 1990s and has hosted ULM football through the program's transition to FBS and entry into the Sun Belt Conference. Warhawks teams have used the stadium as the backdrop for the program's biggest wins over the decades, including upsets of ranked SEC opponents on the road that built ULM's giant-killer reputation nationally. It remains the enduring home of ULM football in Monroe.
