Trask Coliseum is the on-campus home of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks basketball teams in Wilmington, North Carolina. The circular arena sits at the heart of UNCW's campus and hosts both men's and women's basketball in the Coastal Athletic Association. Its steep, close seating bowl keeps fans right on top of the action, giving the Seahawks one of the more compact home-court advantages in the league. On big nights against CAA rivals, the building fills with a boisterous student section that has helped UNCW claim multiple regular-season titles.
Trask Coliseum opened in 1977 and has served as the anchor of UNCW athletics ever since, hosting the Seahawks through their rise to conference contenders. The building has been home to multiple NCAA Tournament-qualifying Seahawks squads, including the program's Colonial Athletic Association championship teams. Beyond basketball, the coliseum regularly hosts commencement ceremonies, concerts, and community events for the Wilmington area. It remains one of the longer-tenured on-campus arenas in the CAA.
